During the past few months, the Science Safety Manager and Chemistry Laboratory Manager worked together to complete a glove analysis for the Department of Chemistry and Physical Sciences. At the end of the analysis, four new gloves were recommended for and bought by the department. The gloves include nitriles, neoprenes, butyl rubber, and silver shields. By using these gloves in the appropriate labs, students will be very protected against the chemicals and hazardous materials they work with.
