Last week, Nick Zink, Chemistry alum ’02, successfully defended his thesis and received his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC). His graduate research work focused on nucleoside adducts from a-hydroxy-N-nitrosomorpholine. On a visit to SU today, Nick explained that he loved the background he received from Villa Julie College/Stevenson University- the small school atmosphere gave him the knowledge, skills and experiences he needed to succeed in graduate school. Congratulations Nick!!
