On September 17th, the Chemistry Department hosted Dr. Jim Saunders, Director of Director, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry and Bioinformatics at Towson University. We have initiated a mentoring program for our new freshmen, to provide them with opportunities to learn from upperclass students. Sixteen juniors and seniors were matched with freshmen students based on the students’ career interests and outside interests. They met each other in Freshmen Seminar on Wednesday, September 3. The Fall 2008 Semester is off to a great start in the Department of Chemistry and Physical Sciences at Stevenson University! We welcomed 35 incoming freshmen chemistry majors and are glad that they have joined our department.
